Lo-4229 Flow and Leveling Additive

Composition:
This product is specia modified polysiloxane with primary hydroxyl groups. Can react with polyurethane prepolymer. As a
polyurethane modifier, it can improve the resin slip and anti-adhesion properties.
Typical data:

• Appearance:pale yellow clear liquid (become solid below 15℃).
• Active matter content:100%.
• Refractive index at 25ºC:1.436-1.440.
• Viscosity(25℃):200-500cp.

Special properties:

• Excellent anti-sticking and stripping.
• Reduce surface tension, improves wetting of release paper and substrate, enhance leveling, anticratering and pinhole of
  resin.
• Increase the softness . Provide sleek surface and smooth handle for PU synthetic eather.
• Improve air permeability and mosture permeability.
• Improve abrasion resistance and flex resistance at low temperature.
• Compared to other organic modifier, Lo-4229 has better compatibity with polar solvents ,such as PU resins and DMF.
  Suitable for polyester system, react with isocyanate very well and get lasting modification effect.

Dosage (additive as suppied):
Lo-4229 is a recative agent. Add the product reacted with isocyanate int the earlier stage of PU resin production, thus to
achieve lasting modified effect on properties of PU eather. In addition, Lo-4229 is added in the later stage of PU resin
production or the earlier stage of PU synthetic leather production, which also can get better results.

• 0.1-0.5% on total formulation as leveling additive.
• 1%~5% as a resin modifier.

Predilution in a suitable solvent simplifies dosage and incorporation.
Package and storage stability:
Available in 25 kg pail and 200 kg drums. 24 months in closed containers
